We recommend botulinum toxin injections in case of excessive sweating, i.e. hyperhidrosis, when antiperspirants help no more and excessive sweating has started to make a negative impact on the quality of your life. The treatment is carried out as follows: EMLA cream is applied to the skin as anaesthetic, and then depending of the treated area 20-50 small injections are made. Botulinum toxin blocks the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. The sweating stops almost completely for 4-12 months.
Most common areas:
- Armpits
- Palms
- Soles of the feet
Good to know:
- A couple of days before the treatment you should shave your armpits.
- After the treatment you should keep the injection area clean and refrain from excessive physical activity.
- You should not be treated if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a severe muscular disease.
- We provide treatments to under 18 year olds only with parental consent.

“Local excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) for example under armpits can be very unpleasant. This problem is easily treated with safe and effective botulinum toxin injections. The treatment doesn’t take long and the result may last even up to a year! My patients have been very satisfied with the results.”
